Friendly New Girls (FNGs)
We are so excited that you are interested in FiA! We are more than just an exercise group- we are a community of women lifting each other up, and embracing that we are truly #BetterTogether . In addition to improving our fitness, we work together as a group to support the needs of our community. As some of our FiAnthropy projects thus far, we have made donations to the Edenton Food Pantry, donated snacks and activity books at our local nursing home, surprised local businesses with chalk messages of love during the COVID-19 pandemic, and donated diapers and baby supplies to mothers in need in our community. We also have several monthly social outings, which are a wonderful opportunity to connect and enjoy the company of our wonderful group of ladies!

Why so early? To quote FiA:
Before the demands of the day pull us in different directions, FiAs start their day with a 45 minute workout. During this time, we experience a physical and personal growth that radiates through the rest of our day- enabling us to be better daughters, sisters, employees, spouses, friends, bosses, and mothers.
Before your first workout:
- All you need to bring is a positive attitude and an open mind. Wear your regular workout clothes, and bring a mat and a bottle of water.
- When you are first starting, don't be afraid to modify as needed during the workouts. FiA is for EVERYONE. Don't get discouraged if you need to slow down- just show up, and do your best. Everyone starts somewhere!
- If you aren't meeting a friend at your first post, please just show up and introduce yourself as an FNG (Friendly New Girl). After you join us for your first workout, you'll receive your very own FiA nickname.
